NCCASA & CACNC LGBTQ+ Webinar Series

April 23, 2020

NCCASA and CACNC are delighted offer a 2-part webinar series to help rape crisis and child advocacy centers to better support LGBTQ clients and families. Part one, LGBTQ+ 101, is an introduction to gender identity, sexual orientation, terminology, and why being competent for LGBTQ+ survivors is essential to anti-violence and victim service providers. Part two, Working with LGBTQ+ Survivors, gives tips, best practices, and a chance to work through composite scenarios to think about on-the-spot solutions and supports. Each webinar is offered twice on its presentation day to allow a morning and afternoon option, and will last 90 minutes. All webinars are open to NCCASA member agency staff as well as staff and MDT members of North Carolina’s CACs.
