Creating Culturally Responsive, Trauma Informed Legal Advocacy

This will be a two-part series involving a recorded session on the Impact of Physical and Sexual Violence, followed by a live virtual training on Trauma Informed Legal Advocacy. The video is a 40-minute recording exploring how violence becomes trauma and how that trauma can then impact the system and other legal proceedings. The live virtual session will explore how the trauma of oppression further complicates the trauma from violence and is what lawyers and advocates can do in their work with a survivor of sexual violence to ensure their most effective work together.
