We can’t prevent violence without addressing this country’s history and how our systems emerged out of that history. Why do we see racial disparities (and other disparities among populations who’ve been marginalized from society) in every aspect of societal harm, to include health disparities, disproportionate rates of arrest and incarceration, increased risk of sexual violence, and decreased access to meaningful and relevant resources when they are abused or assaulted? In this 90-minute webinar, attendees will learn why upstream prevention alone is not always enough to build equity into our systems and why we must take a groundwater approach to violence prevention if we want to end sexual violence.
