Description
Human trafficking prevention has at times been framed primarily as a criminal justice priority or been siloed from other forms of violence prevention. In this training, co-facilitated by NCCASA’s Prevention Education Program Manager and Anti-Human Trafficking Specialist, attendees will first learn about existing human trafficking prevention programs and initiatives. They will then learn about the public health approach to violence prevention, and about new and emerging strategies for human trafficking prevention using public health frameworks. Finally, attendees will explore the questions: How does what we know about multidisciplinary violence prevention shape the future of human trafficking prevention? What is possible? And what needs to change?
This training compliments the previous days training “Equipping NC’s Rape Crisis Center’s to Serve Survivors of Human Trafficking.” You can sign up for one or both.
