In this webinar we will look into how RCCs and organizations within the anti-sexual violence movement can utilize Instagram to build a community that supports survivors. We will talk about considerations when building this platform, making content and reposting content, utilizing the platform to fundraise and the benefits to creating this space.

Presenter Bio:

Lauren Weingarten, Victim Advocate and Trauma Educator, is the voice behind the popular Instagram account @metoomanyvoices, a community support network for survivors and supporters of survivors. With over 23 thousand followers on Instagram, North Carolina resident Lauren definitely knows a thing or two about building a community on social media.

Lauren has leveraged her own experiences as a survivor along with years of advocacy training and trauma education. Her work with Me Too Many Voices focuses on survivor led peer support, workshops, and virtual community events bridging local and global communities alike.

She has also developed original educational resources for both survivors and professionals to use independently at home or together in the office, including workbooks, affirmation decks, and informative and supportive graphic artwork.
