Adult survivors of child sexual abuse are in every community, but often in silence and neglect. This silence permeates even advocacy programs. Healing in Motion: Supporting Growth and Change in the Lives of Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse is your guide to understanding the dynamics that surround adult survivors of child sexual abuse and help advocates welcome all survivors–in all their complexity–with compassion and creativity. Healing in Motion focuses on the services and skills that are within reach for any advocacy program today, including body based healing and spiritual healing. This training will help advocates put emotional support and healing at the center of advocacy.

This training is an in person offering at NCCASA training room located in our office at 811 Spring Forest Road Raleigh. Space is limited to 14 individuals. Registration closes Friday, 2/13/26 @ 5pm.

***Please note that you must have completed a Virtual/In Person Sexual Assault 101 training and/or completed the Advocacy Fundamentals Online Learning Modules in the last two years to attend this training**

This training is a part of NCCASA’s The Second Step: Advancing the Advocate’s Journey, which is a 200-level training series designed for sexual assault advocates ready to expand their skills beyond foundational practice. This immersive, experience-driven program invites participants to deepen their understanding of trauma, refine their response techniques, and strengthen their ability to support survivors through complex charged situations.
