Safe and Healthy Campuses for LGBTQI-Identified College Students in North Carolina Project.  The North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault  (NCCASA) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are conducting this study. Please read this page thoroughly. Toward the bottom of the page you will find links to the Online Consent Form, a resource list, and the survey. WHAT IS THIS STUDY ABOUT? We consider lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex  (LGBTQI) communities a priority population for our work in North Carolina (NC).  Evidence suggests that people who claim non-normative sexual and gender identities may be at higher risk for sexual and other forms of violence victimization.  This study will help us better understand these communities’ experiences with sexual and other forms of violence during their careers as college students on NC campuses. .  We plan to use the results of this study to develop ways that colleges and universities can better support LGBTQI-identified college students and prevent and respond to violence experienced by LGBTQI-identified college students. The findings from this study will be invaluable to the future direction of sexual violence prevention strategies guided by NCCASA and it partners around the state. Additionally, the findings will be critically important to NCCASA as we continue to address the training and technical assistance needs of local sexual violence service providers, campuses, and allied professionals across the state.
