Human Trafficking involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through the use of force, fraud, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them for labor or explicit acts. More than 27 million people are currently caught in this modern day slavery. Over 80% of them are women and over 50% are children.

North Carolina consistently ranks in the top ten states for Human Trafficking activity.

Here in the Triangle this human rights violation happens every day.
