SUMMARY:Serving Survivors with Disabilities Effectively
DESCRIPTION:People with disabilities are victimized at rates three times higher than people without disabilities. They, however, are less likely to try to access services and when they do the services do not meet their needs. Survivors with disabilities still face significant barriers in seeking and receiving needed services. Service providers need to continue the work in ensuring their services are safe, welcoming, and accessible and that the experiences of survivors with disabilities are centered. Join Olga Trujillo for this virtual training as they explore the needs of survivors with disabilities and potential solutions for overcoming barriers to services that providers can implement to be more responsive to their needs.\n
